Cricket MSGM8 Review
Video Review:
Summary:
Cricket MSGM8 is a Cricket Wireless proprietary cell phone. Meaning it’s exclusive to Cricket’s phone service. This cell phone is clearly meant specifically with people who text message and e-mail in mind. It’s kind of like a fake blackberry in a lot of ways. And, for 98% of the non-corporate population this handset will work out just fine. In fact, it will work better than fine – this phone just plain works great. Very simple, straight forward, and easy to use. And, it has some extra features for more advanced users. The included Cricket Mobile mail app can download your e-mail from Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, MSN, etc. You can also send decent pictures from the 1.3megapixel front facing camera. This phone is lacking a MicroSD slot so you cannot expand the memory and don’t plan on using it for a multimedia player (music/movies are a no-go). Other issues include that they numbered keys don’t have the letters on them so if you’re dialing 1-800-CRICKET you might be confused and have to ask to borrow a friends phone. We also had problems with this phone pocket dialing our friends when we forgot to lock the keys. Admittedly this was our fault however, it was annoying anyhow. Overall this is a great and easy to use text messaging / e-mail / calling cell phone. If you purchase this phone for its simplicity you won’t be disappointed. (READ MORE…)
